Community home care refers to long and short-term nursing care for rehabilitative, therapeutic, residential, and home help care services in the relaxation of your own home.

Goshencom delivers the maximum standard of residential healthcare, recommended by HSE, Tusla in support of a consultant or GP, to children and young people who: 

  • Managing a chronic condition, including cardiac, wound, orthopaedic, diabetes, respiratory and neurological, to avoid an unnecessary hospitalisation.
  • Continued recovery care at home following a hospital stay, illness, or injury.

 

Goshencom understands that given care for a child with complex medical needs is a huge responsibility. We know that is not unusual for parents to be tired, or sometimes scared. But it does not mean it has to be so and that’s why Goshencom is here for you.

Goshencom Healthcare Services, understand what it’s takes to care for children with complex needs in the community. Our aims are to give every necessary support and to help parents easing their tension and keeping the family together as we provide you excellent care for your child right there in the comfort of your home. Goshencom services is available 24/7 with staff that are trained in providing complex need services such as tracheostomy and ventilator nursing care.
Goshencom work closely with the client, client’s family, and client’s doctor, as well as their clinical care team according to your home care package that suits your medical individual needs. Goshencom will provide services to keep you safe surrounded by your family in the comfort of your home.

RECRUITMENT

Goshencom Health Services is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children and Young People.

Applicants must be willing to undergo appropriate child protection screening, including employment references and Garda Vetting check and a fully checkable work history.

If you need an new Garda Vetting please bring the following information with you to interview.

1 of the following Group 1 documents

Passport, Biometric Residence Permit, Driving Licence (full or provisional) Birth or Adoption Certificate.

2 of the following

Birth Certificate, Marriage, or Civil Partnership Certificate, HM Forces ID card Firearms Licence.

You can use your Driving Licence if you have not used it for Group 1. Bank/Building Society Statement, Mortgage Statement, Credit Card Statement, Statement showing Pension, Endowment, or Benefit, P45/P60, Council Tax statement, EU National ID card, Government entitlement document, Work permit or visa. These documents must be in the same name with the same address.

This does make our recruitment process slightly longer but given the work we do this is specifically designed to ensure we take on the right people.

We will also ask you for a copy of your CV if you haven’t already supplied one at this at this stage.

Application Form

You will be sent our online application form, alongside an Equal opportunities monitoring form. The form is thorough to ensure the safeguarding and protection of those you will be supporting and working with. Once we have the completed form we will invite you in for an informal interview.

Interview

When we invite you in we ask you to bring some ID with you, if you have a Garda Vetting and have subscribed to the update service we will ask for your original certificate and your online reference and permission to view this. Please bring in the ID mentioned on this page along with any certification relating to qualifications and training.

Our interview process is fairly informal, You will get a short induction into the company and our ethos, we tell you about us and what we do-and why we do it and the type of candidates we are looking for.

We will go through some pre-set questions, and your answers will be recorded in writing in line with safer recruitment.

You can let us know what types of roles you would like to do, where your intertest, experience and passion lies, the hours you would like to work and we will chat through your recent employment.

Referencing

We need 2 references from you, any offer of work will be subject to these references. We ask that one is your current or most recent employer. We will not take up references without your prior agreement. A standard referencing form is sent, we appreciate that many employers will only agree to gibe start and end dates, where this happens we may ask for an extra character reference.

Job Matching

By this stage we will know each other quite well! We will have a good understanding about what you are looking for and will have discussed the types of roles we are likely to offer you.

We will email you with offers of work as they become available, every effort is made to offer the right roles to the right candidates. You are under no obligation to accept any of the roles we forward to you, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you are interested. There could be occasions where the hours could be negotiated, so if the role appeals and the hours aren’t quite right let us know.
